The Bright Works Project
I’ve carried around this idea since the spring. I needed the thought to settle. My tendency is to I come up with so many big ideas every single day but I only have so much time. Therefore I must judge which ones are worth my time. As the effect, I probably waste some really good ones. Never mind. The concept for this project has survived the whole summer, full of other new ideas, so it must be a good one. I now made that leap.
During The Bright Works Project, I will research stories of strangers to find traces of hope and inspiration. I want to know how people keep up optimistic through difficulties. All the gathered stories, I will analyse and use as an inspiration to paint a series of works. I want to keep it wide and open for collaborations and get many people involved. Later I will exhibit my art series and invite all the collaborators, storytellers and anyone who likes the idea to celebrate the project. Hopefully, we will all come out of this wiser and happier.
I encourage you to all get involved if you know any story, where I can find hope, grit or optimism. We’re all in it together.
